The Four Fours came together in '58 and the original line up was, Trevor Spitz, Mike Horman, Robert Smith and Colin Minifie.
The band originated in Tauranga and moved to Auckland, around 1965, gaining full time spots at the Platterack and Monaco nightspot's.
Drummer Maurice Greer joined the band in '66 and shortly afterwards they went over to England, where they changed their name to Human Instinct. (http://nzmusic60s70s.smfforfree.com/index.php?topic=10.0)
