Top Shelf were a Wanganui Band who had residency at Ali Baba's Nite Club in Cuba Street, Wellington.
The groups only single "Baby, The World Really Turns" qualified for the 1969 Loxene Golden Disc Awards, but didn't make the final.

This song "Time Beyond" was the "B" side to the above single.

Kevin Fury from the band went on to Quincy Conserve.
